    Thanks for the video, i have ordered a new motherboard for 120 dollars, HP said they would replace it for 400 dollars. I have already taken out the motherboard! is it necessary to put thermal paste on the cpu? i didnt see you do that!

    In a few laptops are different fans possible, but mostly there is only one fan which can fit in.

    But if you have your laptop longer as a year it is supposable that there is many dusk in the fan.

    When you cleaned it, it becomes cooler and not get damaged, cause overheating.

    Make sure you have turned out the 7 screws like here 0:26.

    Maybe your mainbord is still in the case? than first take it out the case, cause there are some screws which fix the fan, too.

    i had the same problem 3 days ago u need to unplug it from wall, remove battery and hold power button for 30-40 secs then try again and if this doesnt work try removing all the screws and open it
    PS can u tell me how u got the case off

    The screws from the WLAN card must be screwed out, cause they fit in the case. In some models there are normal cross slot screws in, and in some are 5er screws nuts. For this screws you need a wrench.

    Check our channel! the is a video called: “Mainboard disassembly (Hewlett Packard DV9000 Laptop) 7083″. There you can see how to disassembly a DV9000 laptop, but its almost the same like your model!

    I guess your have a lot of dust in your fan and that’s the cause it make so much noise! Disassembly it and clean the fan with compressed-air. I think this cancle your problem.

    i have hp dv6291ea and my fan is making too much noise, as it has some tissue in it as i used a vacuum cleaner to suk some tissue but still i could see white some thing and i am afraid it can burn my machine but dont know how to open laptop so i can clean the fan.

    With a laptop it isn’t profitable to buy some parts and build it by youself. Better buy a complete laptop, then you don’t have any problems… Cause you need a case where all the parts must fit in exactly.

    Only buy spare parts when one or two parts are damaged is usefull.
