I am looking for a service that will let me use my laptop computer as the phone. It has a speaker and a mic. I don’t want a Skype thing where I make video to other people with Skype. Just phone calls to regular phones. I thought Google voice would have this option, but no.

Yahoo Voice. I use it, and am very happy with it.

   I use Onesuite for calling from my computer to landlines and mobile phones.

   Google Voice though can do that BUT you need another service like Gizmo5 to be able to make calls from your computer. If you have landline though, you can use Google Voice directly from your landline.
